  • Leeman Green Head Town Expansion Strategy
    The Shire of Coorow have consulted with interested community members, landowners, groups, government agencies, corporations and visitors to the region in the preparation of the draft Green Head and Leeman Townsite Expansion Strategy. The next stage of this study is to gather feedback on the draft Strategy during a formal public comment period. Feedback will give the Shire a good understanding of the community and agency's response to the draft Strategy and enable further refinements to be made before the final document is released. The Shire would greatly appreciate receiving your comments on the draft Strategy, and submissions must be made in writing and lodged with the Shire of Coorow on or before Monday 30 April 2012, and they can be submitted to admin@coorow.wa.gov.au or by mail to PO Box 42, COOROW, WA 6515. - 08-03-2012

Welcome to Coorow

Landscape

The Shire of Coorow consists of several town-sites including Leeman and Green Head, Coastal Town-sites.

Coorow is about 270kms north of Perth approximately 2.5/3hr drive. It's a farming town, home to 250 people. Coorow is well know for its Wildflower Season. The best time to visit would be middle Winter to early Summer.

Leeman is about 300kms from Perth approximately 3/3.5hr drive. Leeman is a small coastal town and is well known for its crayfishing and deep sea fishing.

Green Head is about 290kms from Perth approximately 3 hour drive.  Its well know as a small coastal town only 15kms south of Leeman and offers pristine beaches and a very relaxed holiday atmosphere.
