AMENITIES
The 3 Bays Walkway sports numerous amenities located along the trail.
These include interpretive signage showcasing the various aspects of the trail, the history of the area – including Indigenous and European histories, education on the environment and information on flora & fauna.
Beach access with safety handrails where applicable have been installed at various locations to enable great accessibility to popular beach areas. Three new natural limestone rock lookouts have been constructed at each of the three bays, providing seating and vistas.
Each of the three bays (South Bay, Dynamite Bay and Anchorage Bay) boast a park with various public amenities. These are listed below for each bay and corresponding park:
South Bay / Cliff Park
Cliff Park is a small park nestled on the coastline of South Bay on Ocean View Drive. The park features a unisex disabled accessible toilet block, BBQ, gazebo and memorial wall amongst areas featuring flowering plants.
Dynamite Bay
Dynamite Bay and the corresponding foreshore area features a larger toilet block, multiple gazebos and shade shelters, BBQ’s, lighting, tables and showering facility. This iconic bay also sports two natural limestone rock lookouts at each of the headland points.
Anchorage Bay / Morphett Park
Morphett Park is a larger park at the northern end of the walk trail, boasting a playground, disabled ablution block, numerous sheltered table settings. Beach access paths stretch from the western edge of the park to a small secluded beach south of the jetty.
A natural limestone rock lookout is also situated just south of the park with stunning views and great photo opportunities.
