Green Head 3 Bays Walkway

Welcome to the Green Head 3 Bays Walkway, an initiative of the Green Head Coastcare Group, (formerly known as the Green Head Townscape Committee) since 1998.

After many meetings, planning and obtaining grants, the Shire of Coorow laid gravel pathways which encouraged rehabilitation of the headland which was often used by trail walkers.

A landscape architect was employed with the assistance of the Northern Agricultural Catchments Council (NACC), the West Midlands Group (WMG) and the Shire of Coorow to provide designs and plans of the proposed walk trail. The first section of the 3 Bays Walkway (from Dynamite Bay to Cambewarra Head) began in 2012, which included concrete paths, boardwalk, seats, interpretive signs and lookouts along the way. Walkers have spectacular views of the three main bays – South Bay, Dynamite Bay and Anchorage Bay - with amazing displays of flora and fauna.

In 2018 additional funding was secured through the Mid West Development Commission, Lotterywest, NACC and the Shire of Coorow to enable the completion of the remaining segments of the walk trail.

This included additional concrete & crushed limestone pathways with interpretive & wayfinding signage, safety handrails, iconic limestone lookouts at each of the three main bays and formal beach access points.

Come along and watch the seasons change while walking along the beautiful headland. Please remember to: wear sun protection & appropriate footwear, bring water, leave no rubbish and beware of potential hazards.
