Fishing, Tides & Boat Ramps

Fishing

Leeman and Greenhead are popular fishing spots boasting exquisite turquoise waters, white sandy beaches and offshore islands harbouring a great diversity of marine life.

Boat Ramps

Council has 5 boat ramps, two in Green Head and three in Leeman. The ramps in Green Head are situated at Ocean View Drive South Bay and Ocean View Drive/Johns Street (Morphett Park).

The Johns Street ramp is the preferred ramp for boats larger than six meters as it launches into deeper water than the ramp at South Bay. Both ramps are constructed out of concrete, however there is no jetty at South Bay.

The Illyarrie Street Boat Ramp officially opened on the 12 December 2014 and is situated North of Leeman Marine Rescue Building.

The Shire of Coorow has 2 other ramps situated at Thomas Street (Main Jetty), Dee Street (Leeman Marine Rescue Building) respectively, although both are concrete ramps they are not of a very high standard.
